RE: https://masto.es/@carburoid/116329181319615796

Thanks for your words. Enjoy #opensource doing its magic.

To be fair, current @fdroid version does not support Portugal yet. It would take a few days to cross their pipeline. So be patient.... or download it directly from github release.

I recommend waiting f-droid, because of their supervision of my malicious intents and having automatic updates. If you download from github you might need to uninstall before installing it from F-Droid.

@lovoki @carburoid @fdroidorg @fdroid anyway, I'm curious and I'll test it with the @github version. Thank you.
@lovoki @carburoid @fdroidorg @fdroid @github I tested it with an old phone (android 9) and had no luck with Portugal. It works with Spain.

Check your internet access. That is a network error.

I also just found a related bug. Whenever you change the country, the list appears first empty. You have to change the location or change the screen to force a refresh, for the list to update (just click the target icon in the location field)

Trying it now I also had problems with the server not responding. After some retries (pull down the list to retry) it finally loaded the list.

Maybe the new millions of #Portuguese users of #Carburoid are stressing the server. 😛

@lovoki @carburoid @fdroidorg @fdroid @github I tried again, but nothing happened. Carburoid is truly a victim of its own success. The millions of Portuguese users have overwhelmed the servers 😀

Does the network message appear? I am not getting those anymore (Carburoid portuguese hype is over 🥳). If you are not getting the network error but the list is still empty then you are hitting the other bug. Workaround: Just click on the target icon in the Location bar and the list will appear.

@lovoki @carburoid @fdroidorg @fdroid @github yes, the same network message appears. I’m not sure if the fact that my phone is quite old and I’m only testing it using mobile data and Wi-Fi might be related to the problem (I don’t have a working GPS signal). But let’s not lose hope just yet; let’s wait for feedback from other users🤞
