Hosting a my small static websites, I wonder if my roughly 40MBit uplink with a static IP is good enough to host it.

@johbo I used to host 5 domains on my 20mb link. I ran both web and email services, and it worked great. That was pre-ai. Now I would def look at adding crawler protection. I just did that on my hetzner host and it dropped a lot of traffic and bandwidth capacity.

The Internet in the 90s were mostly static websites and I surfed with a 14.4 modem. (well, no videos and huge photos)

Given that, you should be able to serve more than 2000 concurrent users. πŸ˜‰

Meaning: depends on what files you want to serve. HTML and opimized graphics? Don't worry.
