Such a country is incapable of providing reliable global hegemony. What it provides instead is an unpredictable wrecking ball'...

and hence, as I've remarked before, the slow but sure pivot away from the USA as an economic partner is well underway!

@ChrisMayLA6 The US as a functioning democracy is for all intents and purposes, done.

It will continue on like a bloated whale corpse in a current for a decade or two, but it being a 50/50 shot to regress every 4 years means it will break up. At some point the Red state minority will have to enact measures so onerous the Blue will simply leave.
