I can't believe how bad the current crop of #macOS #Mastodon clients is. I tried @whalebird , @TheDesk , @IceCubesApp (which is OK on #iOS), @mastonaut , @sengi_app , @fedistar . They're all either seriously buggy, too limited in functionality or the #UI is a disaster. Anyone using a multi-account macOS Mastodon client they're really happy with? Prefer free but kinda open to paid at this point.

@drewtowler open source is only as good as you invest in it. πŸ˜‰

If at some point you'll develop what you don't like in the current field, feel free to share it to me, will be interested to read it.

@sengi_app Sengi simply doesn't work on my Mac. Empty window. So maybe it needs some work in order to attract that investment you seem keen to get.

@drewtowler on the contrary: I don't look to please customers so that I could get investments. I made an app for my own needs, and I shared it for free, in case it could be useful to someone.
(and I'm obviously not a Mac user)

Since no one never told me that the Electron build didn't work at all on Mac, it would be difficult for me to try to fix it.

What you can do (and it's the investment I was referring to) is at least to report the issue itself.

@sengi_app Already uninstalled. Life's too short. Don't release a Mac app unless you tested it on a Mac. Duh.
@drewtowler and that's exactly my point: open source is often more a Common than a Product: it's only as good as you invest in it (even if in this case, it may be "as bad as").
@drewtowler @sengi_app FWIW, I use Sengi for its multi column view and I have no problems on a Mac.
