Also getting tired of the media looking to paint Lewis as a radical. He's really not, he just believes in collective solutions, publicly funded and publicly owned.

There's some new ideas for sure, but much of what he proposes is stuff we used to actually have in this country before everybody became obsessed creating opportunities for private profit funded by the public purse.

@zazzoo It's the Hill Times, man. Don't expect much out of it nor the Ottawa Citizen. Know which reporters are opinionators and instead find podcasters with a perspective better that corporate Canada. Pay for The Guardian, Narwhal, Trillium, student papers.

@gnomeoffender I noticed the CBC putting the 'radical' spin on him also, in their report on his press conference, mostly through omission. In particular his very long and nuanced answer about the oil industry, which I thought highlighted his basic reality-based pragmatism. They reported it simply as "Lewis downplayed divisions within the party."

Quick follow-up edit: Also, yes there is really good journalism out there, but what most people read is what most people will believe is true.
