@chadow @dfx_tech Yes, it really was something back then.
It's not just the box itself which was nice to hold, see the illustrations, etc etc, but when you opened it up there was all that stuff inside. Sometimes there were neat little extras. A realistic style map of the game world, a small novelette with a story about the main character before the game's setting, etc.
Even just thumbing through the game's manual physically in hand was nice sometimes. 😆
Today when you get the equivalent, it's a tiny little case, then you open it up and there's nothing but a little sheet of paper with a download code on a service you have to sign up for. *Sigh*
