Two of the greatest classics in video gaming history, united in one epic boxed release for the IBM-PC. Lemmings and SimCity in red and gold, simply gorgeous!

@dfx_tech Hoooo nice. I understand now why i see some Lemmings floppy with the infogrames logo 😂

@dfx_tech Both are indeed great games, but it sure feels weird seeing them combined in one box. I feel like they couldn't have anything less to do with each other... 😆

I never realized they had the same publisher. Interesting.

@nazokiyoubinbou I believe the one thing these games have in common is their target audience. A city simulator and a puzzle game. Nerds! 😎😜
@dfx_tech You may have a point there. 😆
@dfx_tech Yes please for a shot of nostalgia! Lemmings on floppy disk! 😆

@dfx_tech Was it ctrl-FUND that popped 10k onto your account in Sim City?
@eryops I believe so! 😜 ... or was it SHIFT + "FUND" ?
@dfx_tech golly, we should go back to this type of packaging, it's just beautiful!

@chadow @dfx_tech Yes, it really was something back then.

It's not just the box itself which was nice to hold, see the illustrations, etc etc, but when you opened it up there was all that stuff inside. Sometimes there were neat little extras. A realistic style map of the game world, a small novelette with a story about the main character before the game's setting, etc.

Even just thumbing through the game's manual physically in hand was nice sometimes. 😆

Today when you get the equivalent, it's a tiny little case, then you open it up and there's nothing but a little sheet of paper with a download code on a service you have to sign up for. *Sigh*

@dfx_tech Why'd they use the Sin City font for Sim City?
