My progression Mac SE (1988) → iMac DV (2000) → 4 more iMac's ... 3 of them & the DV still are here and working! The one family Mac Mini & ~4 MBP's weren't "mine"
For my 1st decade we paid Apple once, 2nd maybe ~ 3 times, After that pretty much yearly or monthly for iCloud & Apple TV
