ICE was checking IDs at the Atlanta airport today. The.guy said "your DL photo is super light, so facial recognition might not work."

I snapped back "that's so you know not to illegally deport me."

His buddy said "we can find a reason" and NOTHING could be more on-brand for an encounter with ICE.

@malwarejake As far as I know, you're legally still allowed to bypass Facial recognition as a US Citizen. Everyone should.

@psh @malwarejake #Funfact; People can also reject the #NakedScanner across the #EU without having to cite any reason, and instead request a pat-down by a security of gender of their choice.

@kkarhan Cool, I want an agender patdown
@lynn not shure if the options are anything but female / male / other (nonbinary/neither)…
@psh @malwarejake this is a tool in our arsenal, but like most of them at this point we'd be betting on it working. The law isn't going to save multi generational citizens any more than it's been saving birthright citizens, or documented residents, or undocumented residents who are still legally entitled to due process. I don't want to discourage anyone from trying--I'd say pretty much anything is worth a try--we just need to be prepared for the possibility that this doesn't work.
