Since I seem to have tootarrhea, here's some advice to people who are making things. I'm pretty sure it's been said by Jimmy DiResta, Adam Savage, and all of the other big names already, but now you can hear it fresh from the lips of a middle-aged washout instead:

When you try something new, you're going to go to school on the first few. It'll take time and money to develop tools and skills that will make it easy in the long run.
