Why has NATO seemingly shifted its stance on getting involved in military deployments to (re)open the Strait of Hormuz?

Because, it now transpires that the Tangerine Tyrant threatened to withdraw support from Ukraine unless NATO members pitched into the US/Israeli initiated Iran conflict.

Obviously we shouldn't be surprised, the TT is always transactional, but this (to me) represents a new low even for him.... a complete disgrace as a human being!

@ChrisMayLA6 Well, let’s face it, it’s no surprise that a complete disgrace as a human being acts as if he is a complete disgrace as a human being. Problem is, this complete disgrace is wrecking the world, killing people and destroying the lives of the living and nobody appears to be able to stop him.

@alex_p_roe

Indeed, and as Martin Wolf notes: the US voters keep on voting for him....

@ChrisMayLA6 In their defence, Americans have been manipulated over many years culminating in Trump 1 and, thanks to an inept response from the Democratic Party, Trump 2. Not all Americans wanted Trump but not enough were able to see him for what he is. Some may now be regretting their choice but it’s probably too late.
@alex_p_roe @ChrisMayLA6 Majority of the Supremes. Majority of the military. Majority of DHS/ICE gestapo. Majority of Congress. Majority of mass media.
How much do voters matter?
