It amuses me that the "TTRPGs for Trans Rights -- Idaho" bundle actually contains at least one videogame.

On one hand, nice that someone wants to get in on every trans rights bundle they can.

...On the other, *dear truth* the entire point of going to "TTRPG" as the term was to disambiguate from the video game genre that appropriated the term "RPG", and that was *after* we tried "pen & paper RPG" and video gamers still refused to listen. >_<

@pteryx I didn't realize this little bit of amusement could also be an element of disappointment, but I would like to point out that the vast majority of the products in this bundle are TTRPGs and other tabletop games of various sorts.

I actually went and filtered for "Game" (as opposed to "Physical games") and found that only ten of the products there are actually game software.

There are more zines and other non-game books of various sorts than there are software-based games in this bundle. So I don't think "videogamers are intruding on TTRPG players' space" or "videogamers are diluting the meaning of RPG" is really a meaningful concern in this situation. (And while I haven't played the software-based games in this bundle, none of them even seem to be RPGs.)

Not so much disappointment as frustration and concern. As I said, video gamers STOLE the original label for what games like D&D are and refused to accept that the video games derived from it lack the "roleplaying" part, and I don't want another name stolen from us just as a consequence of sheer obliviousness or stubbornness.
