I turned off boosts for all the accounts I follow, making my timeline more deliberate. Now I only see posts from people I selected to follow. It might not be the default Mastodon experience, but it works well for me.

@andycarolan Seconded. The timeline now feels way more like a living room experience, where I know everyone posting. Great stuff.

@jorijn I’m similar - I allow boosts by default, but actively mute them when people boost too often (subjectively). It’s a reminder to me to not boost too much, and actually participate, too!
