The Francis, a cruiser belonging to the Unified Church of Humanity, chases down an invading Cadir ship. Equally zealous and fanatical, the two factions have been warring for decades, and the border zone between the two a wasteland of scoured planets. Incursions are common, so the Francis hunts down what they think will be easy prey. But they won't be that easy.
