The SCOTUS deciding to fuck over trans people on TDoV 8–1 is a great example of what I meant the other day about trans people being a wedge that the right-wing can use to hurt others.

I don't think we're the primary target for that ruling, it reads to my lay understanding as an attack on administrative state regulation of medical practice *in general*. But we're easy to hurt, so they come after us first in order to do harm to others.

That's emphatically not "the point to anti-trans violence is how it affects cis people," it's almost the exact opposite: we're getting hurt because a lot of cis people aren't standing up for themselves, preferring to let us get hurt instead.

One way cis people can help trans people today and every other day of the year is to stand up for yourself, refuse to let trans people be a wedge.
