Two things can be true at once:

1: The Trump gov't's embrace of Afrikaners reveals blatant hypocrisy over its otherwise anti-immigration policy.
2: Welcoming Afrikaners into the US as #refugees is ethical because it is one step in loosening our nightmarishly strict #immigration laws. In fact, were an immigrant-friendly administration to apply that loose definition of refugee, millions of (far more oppressed) people would stand to gain!

The Administration isn't wrong to admit white South African migrants. But it is wrong to exclude all other refugees, including many fleeing far worse discrimination and oppression.

Humans have had migration patterns that have been disrupted by immigration enforcement, resulting in permanent immigration concerns of today (for some). If the US allowed circulatory patterns like 50 years ago, fewer undocumented persons would be present outside of seasonal work patterns.
