Having worked in retail for many years, I am 1000 percent against people bringing their dogs with them into any store. Leave your dog at home. It doesn't matter how well behaved they are, some minimum wage worker is eventually going to have to clean up after your pet when they shit or piss somewhere in the store.
I wonder if this is as prevalent in other parts of the country as it is in LA. Everyone here seems to have decided they *must* bring their dog everywhere with them

@MLE_online idk if it's cultural but I imagine more people bring their dogs on errands because of the weather, but also probably the culture because people would need to be walking more

I've seen it but more often in the south and still honestly not that often.

@MultimediaMage yea, im sure it's too annoying to bring a pet if it's raining or snowing.

@MLE_online And who's walking if it's raining or snowing?

ehhh I guess you could drive them, don't want your seat wet with canine

@MultimediaMage well yea, people here aren't walking their dogs to the store. they are putting them in the SUV and driving them, and then taking them in the store with them
@MLE_online @MultimediaMage OK that is weird. I have often wished I could get an errand in with a dog walk, but I would never. There's basically only two I can really do - return library books (there's a drop off slot on the outside of the building) and buy wine (there's a liquor store a good dog-walk distance away where they love dogs and have a photo wall of customers' dogs).

@MLE_online @MultimediaMage ...and I've seen plenty of dogs tied up outside a shop while their person is inside getting something - some of the dogs seem fine with it but I know mine would not be.

But, people bringing their dogs with them, on purpose, to do errands and not even get a walk in? That just seems like inconveniencing yourself by choice for nothing. It seems like it's not a thing where I live, I can't think of ever having seen it.

@dragonfrog @MLE_online The only thing I can think of is I've met people who say their dogs go bazonkers on their house when left alone.
@MultimediaMage @dragonfrog i went on a few dates with a guy who had a dog like that. he did not pay enough attention to her and im pretty sure i could have fixed her
@MLE_online @dragonfrog I was gonna say, yeah, it's a whole different issue.
@MLE_online @dragonfrog Chiming back with "I could fix her" only applies to pets.
