Added openfpga cores for the gameboy, gameboy color and gameboy advance to my analog pocket last night so I can play homebrew without having to shell out for a flash cart or find a sacrificial cart to put in my GB operator.

I'm very pleasantly surprised at how lively and healthy the GBA homebrew scene is! Right now I'm playing Goodboy Galaxy, which is a kind of puzzle platformer with some toejam and earl vibes, and it's the first time in a while that I've sat down with a homebrew game and spent over an hour playing it, just enjoying the game itself even beyond the novelty of it being homebrew. The only other games that hit that sweet spot for me off the top of my head are Tanglewood for the sega genesis and WordHopper for DOS.

I also installed the varvara uxn openfpga core. I might mess around with uxntal again and use the pocket to test how well my stuff works as actual games.

@Mustardfacial If you want to save a little cash but want to play gba homebrew, you could also use something like the anbernic rg34xx, which is a gba-shaped emulation handheld! https://anbernic.com/products/rg34xx
