One: Three Dog Night in performance. Note the continuously changing light show behind them. In #4 you can see that the audience is included in the effects.

Two: The light show crew in action, performing their role in the son et lumière with classroom slide projectors. Most of the effects are created by projecting light coming from below through a shallow tray containing a mix of oil and colored water that the operator gently rocks in various directions to make continuously changing colored images in back of and on top of the music. You have to be in the right frame of mind to really appreciate this.
