A horror novel that was due to be released in the US has been cancelled by the publishers over concerns that AI was used to write it. Shy Girl by Mia Ballard was supposed to be published in April, and the UK version which was published in November will be discontinued. Ballard denies the use of AI, but a reviewer of the book stated that it read like it had been created by ChatGP.
