At some point, KJ Parker should release a guide/atlas to his setting. It should be a giant, heavy tome, and in tiny text, it should just say 'lol, it all conflicts on purpose, eat shit'

That said, I don't think it conflicts on purpose, but I think it's reasonable to say: it's a living setting and cultures move around in it, and 'X is West of Y' may not always be true

This weird talk-up of 'Desi Freeman was over 150km from where he shot the cops, such a distance!' from the media, as if 150km isn't just an hr and a half drive by car in the countryside.

Hell, he shot those cops months ago, I've known people who walked 100km in 24hrs. Not sure why 150km is being tauted as a huuuuge distance

Every now and then a KJ Parker book is like 'btw... Supernatural stuff' (eg: Pulling the wings off Angels, Prosper's Demon, etc) and it rattles me a little since he effectively 'killed' his setting's gods a long while ago.

But, there's also The Last Witness, as well.

Feels like an additional continuity layered over the other stuff. So, maybe like an image file with layers you turn on and off.
