I will once again repeat what I think is a nationally winning campaign for a US opposition party (should any care to exist), now with Berlatsky’s improved phrasing:

*Assuming I actually believed them. (If Newsom said it I would trust it as much as I'd trust the whole proverbial scorpion from that stupid story Trump loves so much. I don't live in California, but if I did I would seriously rather write in a vote for my cat than vote for that nazi.)

@inthehands while I agree with the sentiment, the entire political establishment mobilized twice to prevent Bernie from winning a primary with essentially that platform. The money is too entrenched for an election to fix anything.

@inthehands Also, MAGA lies. There's nothing to gain by "sticking to solutions" when the other side will just scream that they will bring even better solutions to anything you say, with no care if what they're saying is even possible, because they never intend to carry through anyway.

Best case, you end up having to refute their lies over & over, which is also an anti-position - might as well just go there to begin with & with your own agenda, rather than theirs.
