@bazurk It would help if you shared what sorts of things you were using zoom for, but assuming that it was "just" video meetings with multiple people, Jitsi & BBB are excellent contenders.
Signal also does a decent job at small group chats, but it isn't quite so easy to get casual users onboard, and I haven't tried it with large meetings - there probably aren't any controls in it.
