Kirill A. Korinsky (kirill@) has added 160MHz channel width support (5GHz) to #OpenBSD's net80211 wireless stack, with the first driver receiving support being iwx(4) for Intel WiFi 6/6E devices.

@brynet I see that #openbsd has pretty good Intel WiFi support. Better than FreeBSD.

I'm curious, is it mad reverse engineering effort? some kind of open source coop with Intel? we just lucky?

I think it's just someone gets an itch to make something work and then they do it. If it's correct and maintainable it goes in.
