Okay this is really unfair.

Regional Indonesian food in Philly (so many just in a couple of blocks).

We chose Cafe Seulanga, which has food almost exactly like the nasi padang style food I would have for lunch back home.

They even had mie Aceh.. really legit ayam goreng (Sumatra style, not the crispy kind), and excellent definitely homemade sambal.

Explained to my friends that this is a very typical lunch there (maybe 50% of the portions)

They even have a legit local Indonesian Chinese bakery..

I use the word legit not in the English way but in the Indonesian way:

Not just ‘authentic’ but ‘top quality’

In more unfair things

They have dodol cempedak and kacang Medan

@skinnylatte Philadelphia is one of the best restaurant cities in the world, not just in the US. I'm originally from NYC, but I've lived more of my life in and around Philadelphia, and I consider it my adopted hometown.
@skinnylatte as we (indians) would say, “first class!”
@skinnylatte Ahh I wish they had this in Toronto :')
