Was reading about Emma Sharp the other day - thought to be the first woman to walk 1000 miles in 1000 hours. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emma_Sharp)

It's obviously an impressive feat but the way she did it is really something: completing 14,600 laps of 120 yards each.

I can just about imagine walking 1000miles in 1000 hours but can't comprehend walking 14,600 laps of such a small distance 🤯

Immature vaguely connected fact: When we lived in Bradford, I used to have a workout cycling route that went passed the pub she based herself in. The pub was on Dick Lane, and I planned to route to also go down the nearby Tong Lane and Butt Lane, so the route was called Tong Dick and Butt Lanes.
