Paramount+ axing #StarfleetAcademy and #StarTrekProdigy is an about-face to the search for younger audiences and the mission to inject new blood into #StarTrek 's aging fanbase. https://screenrant.com/star-trek-starfleet-academy-prodigy-young-audience-paramount-fail/
@mklopez This man in his fifties really enjoyed the first season of Starfleet Academy, despite reservations he had about it going in. Yes, it was a little bit "Federation's Creek 90210", but it was also really good Star Trek. Oh, and just because I've gotten older doesn't mean I've lost all memory of what it was like to be young. Star Trek: Prodigy was less for me, but I still enjoyed it for what it was: a kids' Star Trek show. Kids & adolescents suddenly having access to a starship of their own. What could be more fun?

I'm so sorry. I'll mourn this with you.

I've loved star trek for decades now, but i started weaning myself off of it a couple years ago, and stopped watching once the Paramountpocalypse happened and made it impossible to separate the future of the art from the corporate shenanigans.

I loved Prodigy dearly and really yearned for what they were doing in Acadamy... but I don't trust them to continue the "Star Trek as a Place" story telling I fell in love with.
