we have reached level 2 in woodworking. we have unlocked the skill "jigsaw"!
it's a 60-level system, so this is still tutorial territory
we really should have gotten one of these ages ago. this sounds obvious but cutting things is a lot faster with it.
also, we are now bought into the Makita battery ecosystem. their devices aren't overly large or styled in gender-performance kinds of ways, and and frankly these brands seem mostly equivalent other than that.
truh@ireneista I really wish there was just one battery standard to rule them all.
I'm currently stuck with two different Bosch battery systems and one Milwaukee.
The Milwaukee and the Bosch Pro 12v batteries look almost identical but there is of course a tiny little mechanical difference preventing you from using them interchangeably.
@truh yeah there needs to be a law about it, frankly. it's all the same cells inside, these aren't innovations making them different, it's a commercial choice because ecosystem lock-in is where the company's value to investors comes from.
