I hadn't considered that if you're flying slowly enough in space, you can pass by closer. And the lack of atmosphere makes for a clear view.

@digitalfox Just gotta match velocity with the ship or station you are intercepting.

The mechanics for intercepting other orbiting bodies in space were actually the doctoral thesis of Buzz Aldrin, of Apollo 11 fame. And it was quite important for that mission, to be able to return home safely.

Also anything docking with the ISS had to be very deliberate about its approach.

I wanted to capture a moment like that.
