They don't actually believe what they claim. They think that by claiming it, if there IS a God, they'll be covered.

Which is probably why they should crack open at least one of the aforementioned books.

@elfin Both the US Constitution and the Bible discuss the separation of Church and state. Hegseth is ignorant. He's just about as ignorant of government as Trump.

@Alohilani @elfin ironic that the most heavily 'Christian' political landscape in the world is in a country where the church and state are supposed to be separate, whereas, in the UK, we have an established church where the majority of the population, and politicians, don't follow it.
