The Democratic Party's entire play currently is "we want to be friends with Nazis and you have to vote for us anyway or suffer."
To which many Americans are apt to reply: "We look forward to them putting you up against the wall, too."
Democrats will go on conservative news shows and fascist podcasts just to tell you they don't care about Black people, or immigrants, or trans people, or Palestinians, or the homeless, or the poor, etcetera, etcetera, and then expect you to take them seriously as an opposition to Trump.
In the face of a deeply unpopular war, Gavin Newsom is like, "Yeah, maybe some form of mandatory military service would be good. You know, for the poors." And then he and his Nazi host laugh and laugh and laugh.

The “conservatives“ as well as the self-proclaimed “social democrats“ over here in Germany desperately keep trying to be the better fascists.
Has brought especially the “social democrats“ who formerly won elections by some healthy margin almost to the point of irrelevance in various places thus far, positioning them even behind the actual left in my town's recent regional elections - which - politically speaking - is equal to declaring 'em dead.
No surprise it was all the voter's fault, concluding they should just try even harder to be more like the actual fascists. Will celebrate the day they have to leave the Bundestag for not making it across the 5% hurdle any longer, losing to the greens who still at least attempt to not be outright shit.
