What is a recent & enjoyable videogame that I can play on my potato laptop?

The Pedestrian (2020)

The Pedestrian by Skookum Arts is nigh-on perfect. I love it and you should love it too. Yet you're continuing to read these words rather than going off to buy it, so I guess I'm just going to have to bang out a review to convince you. This game is a rat…

Improvable Tripe
@pndc Cool thanks! It doesn't look completely potato but I will check it out
@fabriek It plays just fine on my 2015-vintage potato.

@fabriek Tomb Raider (2013) is a real good old game.

If you are not kidding and your machine is really old like 20+ years then check out "Beneath A Steel Sky" that should run everywhere and is free.

@sysedit Thanks! It's a Lenovo ideapad 320, so not really that potato, but it's not a gaming laptop either.

@fabriek If you like point and click games you are in luck.

There is an entire series of games that should work great on your laptop:

The first 3 entries in the Monkey Island Series should run great also.

Day of the Tentacle:

Maybe also give Steam Rom Manager https://steamgriddb.github.io/steam-rom-manager/ a try. I imagine your machine will run up to Playstation 1 fine.

Check early if they run and refund if there are issues.

The Blackwell Bundle on Steam

@fabriek I kind of disregarded "recent" in your specification hope you still appreciate the input.
