they had one moderator for 18 million users in myanmar, and so facebook was where the rhetoric spread largely unchecked, indeed algorithmically amplified

and they still let genocidal rhetoric flow freely across the world and do not care

they are the biggest spreader of pro genocide ideology and no one fucking cares at all

@rachaelspooky I’m trying to explain this to people. Here’s my plan: we’ll create a duplicate account on the Fediverse, and on our Facebook or Instagram account, we’ll explicitly state that the platform is unethical and that we want people to follow us elsewhere. We’ll say we’re only here for them, and we don’t want to be here anymore. And then we’ll leave.
