They won't do that. If they crack your knee cap nothing prevents you from ascending into becoming the ultimate god of knees, can you imagine the power this would bring you if you had more than one knee per leg?
You could kick people over your shoulder to their face. This is not a power a mere mortal should possess.
It would also mess with the economy of knee distribution, the usual sum is two per human. Having more would jeopardize every thing humans stand for (having one or no knee is fine too but two are the line).
