I am one tired grandma.
Our local protest was big and loud.
I did my best.
The increased participation and the support of passing motorist's was wonderful.
I wore layers as we started out in the cold and ended up in the warm afternoon sun.
I wore my red hat before it got too warm.
My grandson took this photo right before the official end of the protest.
Most people were nice to me.
I am happy to report that no one was run over or otherwise hurt on my corner.
A win considering how many people were lining highway 101 and oblivious to the hazards presented by cars moving inches from where they were waving their sign.
I really felt like one of many making good trouble today.

@NorcalGma2

You were out there, doing your bit! Thank you. That's a good picture of you in action.

@NorcalGma2 Good on you! We saw that a large protest on a very big road going by a mall and luxury car dealers had a number of vested observers. They helped give information out and did their volunteer job. I was an ACLU observer during some massive anti-war protests in Illinois, back in the day. Vietnam. I’m so glad to see you got out there.
@NorcalGma2 wonderful pic! You’re a great example
@NorcalGma2 woman was hit by a car at our No Kings in Kirkland WA. I saw the aftermath and an aid car arrive. Did not look good, I hope she is OK.
@GPJohnston @NorcalGma2 Intentional or ?
@msbellows @NorcalGma2 It was an accident I’m sure, she was walking to the rally area just after the event began.
@GPJohnston
Oh no. I am so sorry. I wore myself out trying to keep people out of the path of the cars turning my corner. I felt fortunate it all worked out.
@NorcalGma2 It looks like that’s what happened, a car turning into a side street hit her.
@GPJohnston
People seemed oblivious to traffic. I worried the whole time. I hope she is ok.
@NorcalGma2 Thank you from a concerned Canadian. I would like to think worldwide "resistors" have more hope after the #nokings turnout today
@NorcalGma2 Yay! And you didn't need to use that whistle, it seems. Unless you whistled at people walking into traffic.
@jeridansky
I didn't need my whistle. I did need to keep myself from responding to a couple of obnoxious individuals. I managed though probably would have handled it differently if I wasn't wearing the vest.

I watched several videos about the subject and wow, sooo many people together, it gave me goosebumps.

As an Argentinian, I'm proud and happy for all of you. This is the people of the US I support. Keep fighting!

@NorcalGma2

I'm happy to hear it! Yay, you! πŸ™‚ πŸŽ‡

@NorcalGma2 job well-done πŸ‘ŠπŸΌ 🌹
@NorcalGma2 Job well done, Gma! πŸ’œβœŠπŸ»

@NorcalGma2 Had a similar experience with my crowd, where people were dangerously unaware of being a little too close to traffic. I tried to convince people to make sure to stay behind the curb, but they kept getting in the street or standing with their feet over the curb. If we had any cops today, they would have nipped that in the bud, but none showed up to a demonstration of around 2000 at a busy intersection.

I hope you get some much-needed rest. A dog tugged really hard against their owner's leash today, trying to be my friend. It made me think of Summer.

@NorcalGma2 awesome. congrats. thank you for all you do. <3 people all over the world out on the streets were with youse today.
