Michael HanscomHeading into Seattle for the #NoKings protest on the same day that the #SoundTransit light rail 2 line opens seemed like it should be recognized.
(We made whiteboard signs so we can update the message as whims strike us.)
On the train on our way in, an older (actual “boomer”) couple nearby sees our signs and asks where today’s protest is. They’re here for a baseball game (Cleveland Guardians…vs. Mariners, I assume), but may try to find the protest afterwards.
As they got off the train, he gave me a smile and a fist bump and said “Eff Trump.” 😁
Final version of the sign. We’re on light rail on our way home now. _Lots_ of people out today - I’m not good enough at this to make an estimate, but we were somewhere near the middle of the march from Capitol Hill to the Seattle Center, and anytime we were at a spot where I could look ahead or behind, I couldn’t see the end of the crowd. It was big; that’s all I can say for sure.
