Beware the fraudulent survey.
Surveys that use rating scale or yes/no answers will always yield results within only a bounded range of possibilities. Their findings are always influenced by the assumptions & interests - stated or otherwise - of those who designed them.
The ease with which AI can be used to generate fraudulent responses at scale opens up a whole new world for data manipulation.
In a society that values data, understanding how to read research critically is an essential skill. No wonder that, for those who wish to distract us with 🎪🎡🤡 as cover for accelerating plunder, the disciplines that teach these skills are the enemy.
