My hero, @[email protected], has enabled me to submit these crunchy monochrome snaps before the clock ran out on #MonochromeMarch. He laboriously erased horizontal scratches that my old Rollei AFM unhelpfully added to the Kodak T-Max P3200 film. Zine rights granted. #photography #BelieveInFilm #Connecticut
@NYSloth I really like the photo with the one way sign. Definitely worth the effort. πŸ™ƒ
Thank you! The salvage effort was all @[email protected]. My digital darkroom skills remain undeveloped, so to speak.
@[email protected] Totally agree: it's a breathtakin g shot. There's something so powerful about how it uses the tangible to emphasize the intangible.
@NYSloth Wonderful photos. Especially like the second one, it has something of an old heavy/sad movie to it.
I love black and white cinematography, especially that of L’Avventura and Pather Panchali. I can’t imagine the sustained artistic vision involved in filming those works.
I'm so glad I can finally see these! They're wonderful!
Thank you! I would have been sad to leave them to sit on my hard drive, unviewed.
Haha Sorry, I meant that yesterday's pixelfed server issues made these just a blur. I read the caption yesterday but couldn't see the images. Now I finally get to see what I missed yesterday. But, yes, it would have been sad for these to go unseen, too. 😊
