I used soma that stuff for the first time the other day. Specifically the steelstik. It dries black. I was in shambles. Strong AF though.

That won’t take a weld, but the tab could be drilled and then a steel pin (preferably knurled) put in and braised/soldered in place … or even just epoxied. Then it would be stronger than new :-)

ZachariahThere was an attempt at a gender-neutral community name (“dullsters” club) but this one has been more successful. I’ve only seen very open attitudes in here though. I don’t believe it’s intended to be a men’s space.

Bummer, perhaps it can be repaired? By the way, be very careful about sharing photos of keys, it is often quite easy to produce a duplicate key from a photo.
I did think of that. The key visible in the photo is a dummy key that goes to a lock that I’ve misplaced.

I’d be much more concerned if I were showing off keys to the premises of a well known commercial enterprise and also let people know it.

The issue with a crowbar is if people see you, it’s kinda sus. Bring a key and no one thinks twice. You can do it in broad daylight.
A clamp and some E600 epoxy will make that good as new. Don’t give up hope yet, OP.
My thought too. No point welding something so simple. Epoxy and it’ll be solid another 16 years.

I would find a jeweler or metal worker and get it fixed. It might be expensive but apparently it would be worth it to you.
I totally get it. If I like something and use it or have it around a long time I bond with it. Does not matter if it was expensive or cheap but if it was cheap/free I tend to love it more however if it was expensive I tend to be madder at the loss.
Forza Motorsport 3 specifically hits a sweet spot for me so I totally feel your pain.
I still have the lock box they included in the collector ‘s edition of GTA 4, they don’t make promo swag like they used to.
I think you can “fix” it with a leather strip, a pin, and a keychain ring. You drill a hole on the broken end and use it to attach the leather strip with the pin after you passed it through the keychain ring.
Drill, tap, machine screws with loc-tite?
