talked myself off the ledge of implementing relative asset paths earlier today

the issues they were solving seemed mostly superficial (except the reduction in container asset renaming difficulty), however they seemed to add some parsing friction to every single asset path, regardless of whether it was relative or not

probably not worth adding a persistent global cost in exchange for making rare situations easier
