Today I moved my website from vercel to statichost.eu

it feels so nice to finally be off that locked-down Zionist platform. I am glad I had the common sense a few years ago to build my site using Astro, not NextJS. otherwise this move would have been way more difficult.

At the same time I moved many of my repositories off github and onto a new codeberg account. I don't need CI workflows for any of my personal projects so again the migration was very smooth.

Also I found 4 private repos containing very personal information that I had forgotten about, immediately took those off as well. I will be keeping them on my local machine for now.

I used to consider private repos on GitHub as a sort-of extra free storage. but that's incredibly dangerous especially now that they will be used to train AI

As a matter of fact, if you feel weird about using private GitHub repos to store your personal photos or notes, then you should feel the same toward Google Photos and Google notes/docs. if anything google has probably been training their AI on our data way before GitHub started doing so.
