(No references used, no gradient tools and no transparency, so yes, I'm sure real light doesn't work like that)

@enriquericos no references used? Damn dude, that's amazing.
(Who cares if real light doesn't work exactly like that, the image sells it well)
@ephesossh That means a lot coming from you, thanks!
And yes, no reference, I like to draw from memory and figure out how I think, it's more fun to me, even if the result doesn't obey the laws of physics.
Next time I see lighting like that, I'll catch more details.
@enriquericos I especially love the way you've done the shadowing with their arm blocking the light.
Very cool indeed.
@retrosponge Funny that you say that. This is the first version, I thought it was done but there was something missing... until I thought of making the arm and leg cut the beam of light. I ended up reworking the entire thing.
With this I mean that, the detail you picked is what really made the image 馃檪
@enriquericos Okay but this looks amazing. Yeah, sure, fine, I can find one lighting nitpick if I go looking for it. But this has such great atmosphere and use of color and value, and the one little red light is such a nice touch but despite being *completely* outside the color palette of the rest of the drawing, it doesn't pull attention away from the actual focal point, it's great, I love it, *DEEP BREATH*
You did good, is what I'm saying.
