I like those local legends because you can actually visit many of these locations.
I've passed through Emden once, but I haven't visited the harbor yet. I should rectify that at some point.
@juergen_hubert #Emden is definitely worth a visit: Unremarkable at first (and second?) glance, rough and unwelcoming at times: grey bunker city by the sea ♥️
Razed to the ground by the RAF in WW2, hastily rebuild. Yet, the city features some beautiful half-hidden spots - you just have to know where to look 😅 And you feel the presence of the sea and sense that this was quite some place….400 years ago
