Blech. $GREAT_GREAT_GRANDBOSS has announced that all development roles are going to become sloperator roles. I really like this job but unless this endeavour collapses (not unlikely), I'm going to need to start job hunting soon.

So, if you know anyone who’s looking for an expert in static analysis and compiling (preferably remote, Ottawa (Ontario, Canada) area), feel free to point them at me.

@suetanvil The problem with the job hunting is everyone is trying to turn jobs into sloperator jobs. We're all competing for those few companies that haven't.

Pretty sure this is going to blow over... if for no other reason than the AI companies will start charging what it costs to make a profit and the company-wide license I have will go away. (Company-wide, but not unlimited tokens. Right there is already saying "if what you're doing isn't amazing, your AI will get cut off.")

@raven

Yeah, I may have to resign myself to riding this out if I am able to maintain enough focus to keep pushing the slop button.

Up until now, I really liked this job. I still like the work and my team, but this is the thing that would make me consider other opportunities if they show up.
