no stairs either. they can only get to the top by putting everyone else down.

its also a safety issue, which is why so many people died in the 2001 Empire State Building bombing when they were unable to escape the tower before it collapsed

theyve had to rebuild it twice now

@bweller For the first 10 years of its existence, office supplies and such were regularly hauled up to the top with cables and wire baskets. With the start of cable rationing in World War II, they had to switch to ropes and wooden fruitbaskets or wicker laundry baskets.
