*This seems interesting -- all the house-technology in one solid pointy lump, and then you attach some favela tenting to it, maybe some sleeping bags

Everything you need to go off the grid fits in this $35,000 teepee

This ominous-looking structure could make it way easier to set up your truly private homestead in the middle of nowhere.

@bruces Wow is this the European (hence space constrained) version of seasteading? https://klumpen.eu/
@bruces
Looks like a Pylon from the old 70s Land of the Lost kids show. Does it time travel?
@JSteven @bruces Ha! It only lacks the TARDIS engine!! Could put 4 wheels on it and call it an RV. Much easier to fill freshwater and emty the holding tank if there are wheels.
@bruces there's something distinctive about architects' design fiction - the wildly impractical shape is essential to the whole scheme, like intentional spelling mistakes in 419 spam
@bruces
East European "panelaky" apartment blocks used to have something similar — a prefab / quick assemble core that has bathroom and toilet on the inside and kitchen bench on the outside (stove and sink)
@bruces Contrast with various "overengineered tent" proposals for refugee camps, which do the opposite — fancy walls and roof, no utilities
