This morning’s 3 hour walk took me on a 10 km tour of central #Brighton, surveying shops and taking photographs, which I’ve now uploaded to #Panoramax. I might be digging details out of these photos for a few days yet. Every time I look through my photos while updating the map, I always spot something that makes me wish I’d taken more shots, even though I took 156 photos, half a gig of space. I think we need a Brighton/Sussex Panoramax instance, @jez ! #OpenStreetmap
OK, I _say_ uploaded to #Panoramax but in reality I was standing still to take a number of shots in several directions from a single spot, and Panoramax will delete many of these as duplicates, so attempting to follow my tracks would suggest that I take pictures zoomed in, without the street context. This is not the whole story. Ho hum. I wonder how long I’ll be able to resist buying a 360° camera.

You can tweak the deduplication parameters to avoid dropping some pictures. You can also upload them again... as deduplication work on a per upload basis, not globally.

Regarding getting a 360 camera, you can find cheap used GoPro Max camera today (under 130£).

I bought several from this site without any problem (1 year warranty included).
