Fulfilling bodily functions when no harm comes to another should never be criminalized. My house does not practice segregated bathrooms, and when I compete with my household, we are on the same playing field regardless of gender.
This obsession by conservatives of how people present themselves is deep rooted internalized repression and they lash out and cause real lasting harm to others.

Can you elaborate on the your opinion about mixed gender sports?
Sports isn’t just about physical. There is ability to operate as a team. I suspect that mixed gender teams will be superior to mono-gender teams. Diverse perspectives, with proper structure to organize and make use of those perspectives and execute well should always rise above a mono-culture.

You don’t care about pissing or shitting right next to someone of a different gender, but I promise you, you are in the minority when it comes to that.
Not everything is politics/hate reasons. I know plenty of liberal women who just don’t feel comfortable doing their bathroom stuff next to a guy doing his bathroom stuff.
I’m all for having a third unisex bathroom though. I used to work at a place that had multi-stall men’s bathroom, multi-stall women’s bathroom, and mutli-stall unisex bathroom. No one used the unisex bathroom. Ever.
Lemmy is .0004 percent of the US population. The attitudes here just aren’t the attitudes of the real world. And before the USA-haters jump in, most other countries separate bathrooms by sex as well.
Trough style toilets are disgusting, if that’s what you were talking about. If my bathroom had multiple toilets with separate enclosed stalls, we would use it simultaneously. Since that’s not how it’s built in my house, no it’s used one at a time. Although if you think about each bathroom as single stall then technically there are multiple stalls in my house and we absolutely use them simultaneously. So not really sure what your point was.
