Fun view up an electricity pilon yesterday with the clouds in the background. Feels a bit like a quilt pattern.

Also some lovely old industrial dials and alarms.

Need that tangent alarm wired up in the office meeting room.

@emily_s

I would really like to hear that alarm.

From a distance.

@emily_s

3 dials labelled coffee, time to next meeting, time since last incident.

The Bell is for when the build is broken...
@petealexharris @emily_s label one of the dials "bullshit"

@emily_s this looks like a cool fractal, has like sci fi energy tower vibes

wait it is an energy tower
@emily_s And then for the advanced quilter:
@SteveClough @emily_s Oh, wow, get an Eiffel of that. 😍

@emily_s

I could see this as stained glass!

@Phosphenes ooh that would be pretty 😍

@emily_s

Wow! How did you get underneath a pylon? Normally, they're pretty inaccessible for obvious safety reasons.

@CppGuy at least in the UK where they cross parks or public spaces they aren't usually blocked off. There are always anti climbing spikes/ fences off the legs.

@emily_s

You're braver than me. 😄 I have a thing about electricity. The fizzing sound as moisture boils off is more than enough to dissuade me from going anywhere near a pylon.

@emily_s I can't see the middle as anything other than an open penguin mouth, e.g. https://www.penguinsinternational.org/what-lies-inside-the-penguins-mouth/
@emily_s So this is how the cloud gets its power. ;)
