Nonya BidnissI'm almost done with my first #quilt and I've just been doing this alone with youtube tutorials and fake it til you make it all the way through. I had someone else's plan from a tutorial and mostly followed it at first and then diverged and made a pieced backing and different sized borders so yeah I made it 100x harder than it had to be but I guess it's a learning experience. 🤷 I'm not going to do all this on the next one, I've learned that much. 😂
Corey Snipes 🌱@Nonya_Bidniss Hey, this is really cool. I've never attempted anything of this scale but I got myself familiar with how to run a sewing machine this year. How did you pick a quilt as a project?
@coreysnipes I just had an urge to try it. I have several quilts that my mom and gma made. Figured I'd see if I could do it. The simpler types are not hard at all, you just have to be able to sew a straight seam.
@Nonya_Bidniss Nice. My appreciation for handmade and family made things is increasing daily.
@coreysnipes The quilts I have are extremely precious things for sure. I always have one or two on my bed.
